the different forms are achieved via the gold gem i usually wear around my neck, which basically allows me to shapeshift- except i'm not ACTUALLY transforming, rather the space i occupy is reshaped, and an illusion placed over top. not something you can replicate while still adhering to the laws of physics!

think of the stances for andurians like bears or meerkats. we can stand up on our hind legs, and even walk and run with practice, but the quad stance is what our bodies are built for and is thus more comfortable and less awkward to use. so i pretty much only stand on my hind legs to appear more civilized, which i only ever need to do in my middle form.
