Internal view of my LOSI Mini-T 2.0, my first new remote-controlled vehicle since 1992. The center-most component is the user-replaceable electric speed control (ESC)/receiver combo module, which serves as the brains of the vehicle. The ESC is responsible for controlling the steering servo at the front, and the brushed drive motor at the back. The ESC gets input from the 2.4 GHz receiver. The lithium polymer (Li-Po) battery pack is installed into the compartment underneath the ESC, and connected to the darker blue EC2 power connector. Two pairs of posts - one pair in the front and another pair in the back - fasten the top shell against the frame using miniature R-clips. Another set of R-clips keeps the hinged battery compartment closed.
