When Talula was younger, she suffered a severe illness that led to problems involving her vocal cords, rendering her mute and unable to verbally communicate with those around her. This led to her becoming shy and prone to keeping to herself, since it was hard communicating with those around her.
Upon becoming an Unown Pokemorph, Talula found that she could use use her powers on a minute reality distorting level to create actual letters, numbers, and symbols in the air around her. She could also create floating text boxes, inspired by her love of video games. Via some basic psychic electromagnetism, she could interfere with technological devices, and even broadcast her thoughts through a radio. Though the speech often came out slightly distorted and full of static.
Talula also discovered a connection to the Unown Dimension, with an ability to open up a gateway to it. There, she found herself among the Unown, who happily welcomed and bonded with her.
Due to becoming an Unown, Talula’s body is very thin, which allows her to very easily flatten herself against a wall and almost seem to merge with it.
