Earthworms in the dragonscape are commonly gathered in addition to a variety of rotgrubs, tree worms, etc. and can get pretty big depending on the resources they have to feed on and grow. In addition to the relative ease of gathering them (dig a hole, scoop em out of the ground) makes them an easy source of food for the drekir of many different regions. Some might even make efforts to cultivate worms by building baskets full of fertile soil to let the worms grown and multiply in a more controlled and "harvestable" environment.

Bugs in this early period are an important food source, hunting and fishing aren't always successful and insects are a crucial protein source that helps fill in the often weeks long gap between finer bits of red meat. Combined with the larger insects generally existing in the dragonscape its common for many tribes to have a lot of insect meat in their diets, with actual red meat and fish meat being more like an uncommon treat.
