Blood fo… THIS, was a “Technical Exercise” made so to teach my self to hurry the hell up when I ink my drawings because, I can spend more time inking things rather than the actual colouring. I don’t like that. It takes way too long, and most of all I start losing interest or start seeing every little mistake in the picture and it pisses me off.
Any ways I got my self a new character out of this, she’s an Cat/Bear burlesque dance. Why? Because I can, Biotch ;p

First off Chill out. Secondly do you have any idea how long a pic actually takes me?! Lemme break it down... 3 hours for sketch 1 hour for inking, and three more hours for coloring. Yeah sometimes pics can get up to 7 hour pieces. So time is a factor the more time you spend the better they turn out. well maybe that's just me.
NO! you see that’s exactly my point. drawing this up took 3 hours out of my life, But I don’t mind because it was fun to do. Like a wail ago it took me that 3 or more hours to ink a picture, it took way to long and it doesn’t really flow and you start getting stressed out and you just don’t want to do it any more. Just like you said, more of a chore than any thing else. Then for me when I make a sketch you got to remember that its is JUST a sketch, make it simple and easy, because if you make it with lots of details your going to have to redraw all those little details again when you do it digitally. And for inking you can spend one hell of a lot of time making one line to be perfect, but nothings perfect. Its all a lot easier if you have a Tablet. But a really good trick for making lines smoother is to inlarge your pic 2 or 3 times larger(that’s NOT zooming in), then ink it and don’t worry about shaky lines from your twitchy hand, then when your finished your line art shrink it back down.
Don’t be picky on your self, arts not perfect. Just look at the “Mona Lisa”, one eyes is bigger than the other.
Well theres my two cents of what I’ve learned. Hope it helps

Oh I have a tablet. I practiced with it a lot. But it's even more of a chore to deal with than just inking something. Plus I don't use normal inking pens remember I use quill pens they are great for pulling lines and making tiny details. And I am a detail fanatic lol I like to try and think of every little thing. I'm really a musician not and artist but when I have HOURS to blow doing nothing then yeah I'll draw. heh.
