Oh boy, there's a story behind this one.

I'll admit I've been a lurker in the fandom for quite some time, and about eight years ago I discovered an artist named  eggplantman who drew some really cool super-furs. I entered a drawing contest they had and, despite not getting the grand prize myself (even back then I was far from a talented and seasoned artist), I did end up with a free inked drawing as a participation reward, and a few weeks later I ended up with this. To date it's my first ever piece of art I received of one of my own characters.

Rodaph (pronounced "ROW-daff" because I'm weird that way) is one of my oldest OCs to date, and I originally came up with his concept about eight to ten years ago for my own superhero-esque setting that has long since been lost to time. Back then, he used to have psychic powers, but nowadays I use him as one of my main characters in my Omnai setting as a baron and a genius - admittedly, I was heavily inspired by Iron Man for the current version of him. Currently, he also has a twin sister, Varna, who looks identical to him and inherits his psychic abilities. :P

I still have the original drawing that I submitted to that contest, and I might post that to my scraps when the time comes. It's a shame the original artist is no longer active in the community as far as I can tell. I wish them all the best if they're still out there.
