This was an experiment for me, somewhat successful, though not as vibrant and much more time consuming than I was anticipating.
Rather than make a normal print, instead I painted up the linoleum block that I would normally use as a print. That means you get to see all the texture in the carved areas that you normally wouldn't get to see on a print. Unfortunately it took forever, and the carved linoleum didn't take the paint quite as well as I was really hoping for.
Oh well, lesson learned. I still like the final output even if I probably won't be doing more unless this sells really well or I get a commission. Shame because the texture really is neat.

The paint may not have taken as well as you wanted to it but the texture and color really pop. I bet this looks even more amazing in real life.
