Damn, nice shot. I've tried to hard to get a lightning shot.. never been able since I have a crappy camera with a slow response time.

To be honest it's not a mater of response time.... we're none of us fast as lightning when you see it it's too late. So what you do is you frame up your picture were you think the lightning is going to hit. Then you put in a long exposure time. Something like 2 or 3 seconds is what I use. Then you start taking pictures and hope you get lucky. Your going to have a lot of pictures of nothing. But now and then lightning will hit wile the shutter is open and that's when the magic happens.

I know there are most likely better ways to do this but, it's what has worked for me.
