It's odd how the home port of a ship named "Cap Sand Diego" is so far from San Diego itself --- there must be a lot of history in that ship.

Actually it hasn`t such an long history . The ship was on the line Hamburg - Sought America were it completed about 120 trips . The name came mostly from the building line , each of the six ships of that line had the Cap San .
