My first/main entry for #Galaxyscutest contest!

After about 239481 days, they are finally done ;; I have my main illustration, then I have a second piece I wanted to do as like a small follow up image, not so much as a winning piece but more like to show the characters and story more. I enjoy designing characters and wanted to take the opportunity to do that here in this contest!
I had the image of this space explorer character in my head, fending off some robot enemies on a mysterious planet, while protecting baby doggo alien creature that they ran across. I wish that I could have put even more work into these, but I ran out of time ;; however I really loved creating them and building a world and story for them in my head, so maybe I'll do more art of them in the future?
