In romanian myhtology, there are already several semblance of monsters that can be classified as "Werepyres". One of them, is the Pricolici.
Pricolici are werewolves that were revived from death through various evil means. There's not much described on how to revive them or what they look like, so people can go nuts. I figured since werewolves are tied to nature in my setting, a thorny plant could help in the revival process.
