They are Pretenders, robots hidden in a human or humanoid shell meant to make them less threatening in the case of Autobots, or more frightening in the case of the Decepticons.

Just wondering- What would be the scale on these guys? Making the Pretender-shells like oversized exosuits worked so well w/ Thunderwing and Bulgeion, but I'm guessing it might not work well w/ human-type Pretenders...
I guess you could make them human size if there's a matter compression unit in those suits, or maybe the shell is space distortion containment unit. (Like the Tardis!) Hmm, either option would make me curious to see what happens when those shells take battle damage. Would kinda suck if one stray shot could trigger a transwarp explosion...
Why, Back in MY day, we didn't have all this fancy......... -o-

Actualy there is something that would allow a full sized former to get down to regular human size... it's the same thing that allows G1 megs to transform into a human or transformer sized gun. It was also use heavily in the making of the original pretenders :) Ore 13 :D
Ahhh... Ore 13... Why couldn't they explain what happened better? They just kinda forgot about in after 'Stormbringer.'
I mean- I can see how it would augment Energon to increase energy output and keep them powered up longer in combat- AND why that increase in output would be needed for Mass-compression. (assuming it's based on transporter technology, the energy requirements to instantly disintegrate and reconstitute a giant robot would be enormous!)
....BUT- I dont understand why it appears to make them Invincible. Even if it's overcharging their auto-repair systems, then the only way to really take advantage of Ore13 would be to have Technorganic Pretender (or Maximal) components...
Unless... do you suppose Transformers have Polarized Armor, similar to Gundam Seed?

Very Beautifully done. The earth in the background (even if it is a stock image) gives the image a very foreboding look to it complete with the original Megatron floating above it while seemingly trying to wrap his hands around his human form. Don't know why but for some reason this makes me wonder what it would be like if the human form and the original were ever to meet face to face. Oh well, i'm just weird that way. Anyway you did an excellent job.
I have to ask. I don't know anything about the TF line after Armada/Energon. What is up with the human TF characters ( Unless you are refeancing Season 3, G1) and what is this about the shattered glass? I am a dedicated Gq1 fan so I have not rally found a new TF series I like, tho the war within and war for Cybertron do look promicing.
