Chanticleer first met Ahsoka during the battle against the High School Musitron, but they became friendly after the Battle of Cartoonia. Ahsoka took chorus as an elective in her youngling curriculum at the Jedi Temple, and Chanticleer has noticed that she has a good singing voice. Thus, whenever Anakin is too busy on side missions to train Ahsoka, Chanticleer fills the gap by giving her voice lessons. Though he primarily sings rockabilly, Chanticleer does teach Ahsoka some art songs and musical theatre pieces, and sometimes holds recitals for her between Republic military campaigns. When Anakin gave Chanticleer Obi-Wan's old lightsaber as a gift, Ahsoka became his sparring partner from time to time.
Like with Anakin, Chanticleer sees himself as an older brother figure to Ahsoka, and wants to help her as much as he wants to help Anakin.
