Running down my face, pooling onto my pillow.
I lie there trying to bury my sorrows in tears, never far off it seems, always haunting me.
I fear they may never come to an end, and still, once all is said and done.
I hide my tears and face those who are close to me with a smiling face, never showing how much pain I carry inside.
Always strong, never failing, that is the me that they should know, not the side that is crying out for someone else to be my safe place.
And so I carry my burden alone, and do my part to fulfill my duty to others as their crutch, some one to help shoulder their burdens in their times of need and never asking for anything in return
