Little Spitfire, the first place in cuteness
120 submissions!!! Yay!!!
And this is my second drawing of this week as I was scheduling. Twilight should be proud of me :) I'm really happy of being able to return drawing in a healthy a good rhythm and having good results. For this new drawing I had a single premise to follow, making the cutest possible drawing that was possible to me. I reunited several elements that I thought would increase the artwork's cuteness and it seems that it worked great!
You probably didn't know that Spitfire, before being one of the fastest Pegasus fillies and winning races, was also the first place in the cuteness contests. If you take a look of how she poses in the podium in this scene, you'll probably realize why.
Is this the cutest drawing of Spitfire? Hmmm, probably not, but I'm pretty sure that it is one of the cutest things I could draw with my current skills. I feel so proud about being able to do this artwork and also to reach the 120 submissions with two amazing creations in the last days. Now you just need to take your insulin dose :P

D'aww! They say that every tough pony has a soft side. For Spitfire, her soft side is all around her flank. :)
It has to be hard living up to what is seen as the captain of The Wonderbolts. Season 4 really put a lot of emphasis on how important The Wonderbolts are in Equestria. Commander Hurricane set a large example as one of the founders and, well, one may think showing anything 'soft' would be giving off an example of weakness.
Be proud, Spitfire. Allowing yourself some cute and comfort is okay. If anyone says anything about it, I believe Princess Sweetie Belle can arrange for a talk on how strength is more than tough talk and hard love.

Perhaps this is why, I think in Season 5, we learn that Spitfire's family lives a long distance away from where she and The Wonderbolts have their headquarters. No pony is going to see her baby album. More importantly, if any pony knew of her little secret, her reputation would be put down so hard. I can even see Lightning dust, of Season 3, having a chance to get back for how she was a top contendant for being in The Wonderbolts until Rainbow Dash got Spitfire to see that being wreckless is not good for a group created to 'protect and serve' Princess Celestia and all of equestrian.

Hehe, I agree with you Yosh. Those kinds of embarrassing foalhood moments are better stored in a corner of the parents' house. However, maybe some members of the team have made some extra research, from that moment they won't look at their captain with the same eyes :3
