It was already spectacular as a monochromic work… Now it is just fascinating, I cannot help but comment on how good it is, because both of you, maitre-de-lineart and maitre-de-color, did a great work here!
There is something marvelous about the way you draw characters with different constitution, here it shows especially well: a slim and muscular vulpine and a little overweight, yet once again muscular canine! Then we have their outfits: the fox has a glaive, a fine belted loincloth, black gloves, a band on his arm, a short cape with golden clip he seems to be composed and concentrated; the wolf has, as it seems, a large bag behind his back, held by straps and metal clip, a huge water sack on his belt, a necklace, dried handbands, perhaps painted claws, a band to hold his mane and two scimitars, he seems to have well-groomed fur, and he is amused. Even if the viewer sees these characters for the first time, he is going to remember them and their image is going to be recognizable. Also, the way they look gives some kind of a background and makes you think about who they might actually be, why they pose like that in the context of the image, what are their goals et cetera… Basically, it gives many evidence to think about and try to understand, it inspires curiosity and it is glorious!
Even though the background (the stage, the view behind the characters) is quite common, it adds to the picture nicely, giving more context. The colors are very well done, some additional shading made this picture brilliant.
So, I would like to thank both of artists, who worked on this piece, for their efforts and the fact they decided to share it here for us to see! It is spectacular, splendidly done picture, a veritable feast for both eye and mind, a chef d'ouvre, I would say!
