Before meeting other ponies and slowly but surely befriending them through their combined efforts to save the town, Starwish mostly refused socialization, instead opting for constantly consuming media. Books, television, movies, radio; anything with the potential to provide non-fiction information was what she spent her time with, even if some of it did make her into a bit of a conspiracy nut. That said, her wealth of niche, trivial information comes in handy much more often then one would think, and has even provided her ways of connecting with others once she lets them in.

The item most important to her is what she calls “my little wishbook” (ha ha geddit ha ha), an extension of her wish magic. Starry’s magic may seem like little more then her stating a silly poem that begins with “I wish” and then sometime helpful manifesting, but it’s a more disciplined study then you’d think. Starwish is a poet, and the reason she has so much control over her magic is because of 2 decades worth of discipline wherein she learned not to monkey-paw herself by being careful of how she states her desires (in rhyme ofc) and recording successful wishes in her mini journal for future reference.
