Very well said. I'm generally easy going and tolerant of many things, but a flaw of my own is that I am biased towards some things that have hurt me in the past. Primarily drugs and alcohol. In my experience, nothing good has come from it, so I'm always leary of people who enjoy it. I wish I was proven wrong more often.

Sadly and please forgive me, but I do love a good glass of wine. Especially when it is a steak dinner.

That much I'm cool with. In fact, I hear it's actually healthy for a little wine. I'll even go into a bar if my ship mates want to. But alcohol brings out who you truly are, and I don't like what i see most of the time. I was raised by alcoholics and I have a lot of friends that are going down the same path. I try to tell them I've seen the other end but they'll do what they want. But moderation is fine. But I'll never touch the stuff myself. ^_^

I got the feeling you wouldn't. I know I can't trust my friends with it on a boat, even if we were at anchor. And some friends won't even be invited.

My mom was in a car accident due to it, and it shook me to the core at a very young age.
