not much info has been released yet but considering the gams so far they usually release 150 or so each new region (i think they are in the 400's by now)

they must be running out of pokemon ideas.

But if these are the started Pokemon, then this is horrible. x____x Pokemon has been going down the toilet (for the most part) since after Johto.

Am I the only one who thinks PKMN should quit while they are ahead?
I mean, it's nice to have variety, but we already have otter pokemon. We already have pig. And I don't know what the grass one is supposed to be.. A mosquito lizard? 0_o I stopped in the second wave. Things get too confusing after that for me. D:

As far as your picture though, I think you did a great rendering of them. I like your thick outlines and the cel-shade style. I also really like the soft gradient background, and how you matched the bg colour with the corresponding PKMN type. :)

The look pretty cute Huiro--nice rendition of them. I'll probably start with the Pig since I seem to usually go to the Fire starters.(Except for Bulbasaur, I always get Bulbasaur. XD )

aww Kiit was hoping that they would have had fighting/dark/psychic as the starting elements instead of the boring fire/water/grass.

They can't have many more after this one. Either they're gonna run out of ideas, or run out of colors (they haven't done Violet yet tho! :3)

I like the grass one alot but the other two are so stupid looking, gah! Hoping alongside a commenter up above that they evolve into better looking pokemon.

Notice how they look similar to existing Pokemon already... the fire one looks like a mix of Spoink and Grumpig. The water one sort of like a Wooper with arms. And the grass one is like Flygon without the wings and antenna's.

I guess it does get harder to give more distinct looks the more that are made. It's not that they are going downhill either it's just those who hold nostalgia to the originals and feel like each new one just set's the others on fire in their mind or something.

Anyway... cute stuff.

So far out of the three i'm liking the grass type. Hope the gameplay is better somehow too seeing as how the starters now look just plain weird.
