Alrigthy people, not uploading as much as I'd like but here's a shorter story for y'all. As I said before things will get smoother in November and I've still got plenty of things I'm working on. Once again I'll post the story in the description.

Ellis spends a little time overseas working with Belgian Foxtrots and gets a call from an unknown number.
Ellis kicked off his boots and walked to the window of his hotel room to close the blinds. After approaching the window he looked out at the grassy rolling hills of the Belgian military base, the sun was setting and the day was coming to a close. Strangely, his career had taken him all over the world but Belgium was hard to beat. Before closing the blinds and officially calling it a night he observed one last unnatural thing.
A Belgium and American Foxtrot playfully rolling around in a grassy field on the perimeter of the base. A sign of Foreign comradery, he smiled affirmatively, knowing the objective of training Belgian Foxtrots was going swimmingly. It was an enjoyable assignment, spending time in a picturesque city around an unfamiliar culture was a grand experience. But something was missing, someone was missing.
Before he could begin to feel disappointed his phone vibrated, causing Ellis to reach into his pocket annoyed. He looked at the caller I.D, an unknown number. Assuming it was a military coworker he answered accordingly.
“This is Captain Ellis Rye, who am I speaking with.”
“Just who did you think you were sucking up to snack? ” Said a familiar woman over the phone.
“Yula? How’d you get a phone?” He stumbled over the next few words until ascertaining the priority of the situation. “How are you using it?” She knew his number for emergencies, but tech companies don't make giant-sized smartphones.
“I took, ordered, one of the privates working on our rifles to help me out.” She said happily, indicating that the human she had “ordered” to help her was still near.
“Yula, that's kidnapping.” Ellis sighed and ran his free hand down his face while finally closing the blinds, his paradise broken up by the developing hostage situation on the homefront.
“It's only kidnapping if I keep him. Besides I've been perfectly gentle, right private?” Once again, she said it cutesy like, as if talking to a pet.
Another voice chimed in undoubtedly the man she had snatched from his duty. “Uhh… yes-yes Ma’am.” Ellis could see it now, the poor human standing at the edge of her muzzle, holding up the phone in compliance with Yulas demands.
“Just, don't do that again alright?” He could hardly get cross with her, knowing she didn't abduct this man out of any malicious intent, just the same puppy-like impulses she seemed incapable of getting over.
“Why don’t you get them to make me a phone? Or better yet why couldn’t I just go with you?”
Ellis backed up and unceremoniously fell backward onto the bed behind him. “It’s not that simple Yula, you know that.”
“Well, they shipped that Belgian Malinois Air Force girl with you.” She retorted.
Still laying down he began to unbutton his BDU. “Do you really want me to explain this? I’ve sat through twelve hours worth of meetings today.”
A loud and exaggerated sigh came through the phone speaker. “No, I just miss you, it’s hard going to lunch without my favorite ketchup packet.”
“You never run out of those will you?” Ellis questioned.
“Never, and if I smell any of that Belgian Malinois girl on you… you really will be my ketchup packet.” Said Yula threateningly.
“Don’t kidnap enlisted personnel and I won’t pet any other puppies, is that fair?”
She replied with a hint of resistance. “Alright but next time can you find a way for me to call you?”
“Of course.” They were silent for a moment until Ellis realized something. “This is the first time we’ve been apart like this isn’t it.”
Yula was quiet for a moment trying to think of a time when they’d been separated. “I guess so, but it doesn’t make me miss you any less.”
“I miss you too, three weeks and I’ll be rubbing your belly as usual.”
She giggled for a moment before replying. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” At that, the call ended.
Ellis dropped his phone and finally tucked himself into the covers of his hotel bed. Maybe Belgium was nice, but no queen-sized bed could beat a mattress of Yula fluff.
