''C'mon now, open up'' the dentist cued. ''Nonono, I dun' wanna...'' Nuanisha the little cat protested, ''they will bully me at school! I have seen other kids walking 'round with braces and they all claim it's hip, but I think it's embarrassing and redundant and stupid! I don't wanna be seen as a nerd in class!'' The dentist thought that Nuanisha was only whining. But then he came up with a proposal: "You know what, if you let me prepare that brace now, then you will receive a coin from me that you can put in that toy machine over there, and you can take that toy home. Deal?'' Nuanisha nodded slowly. She looked up straight into the bright lamp above her. Then she screamed. A fat spider had tied itself to a thin thread. The creature relished the heat from the lamp and slowly descended to observe the strange visitor. Because Nuanisha was screaming so loud, she unconsciously kept her mouth open. The dentist laughed and carefully removed the little spider that was now dangling from the thread just above the mouth of his startled visitor. With the young cat holding her mouth wide open, the dentist could easily see inside. "Ayye, and it looks like you also have got a hole in one of your front teeth" he said, "I'll give you an anesthetic and then I'll drill. You will barely feel it, promise'' Then the dentist took hold of a tube attached to a small device and sprayed Nuanisha's rotten tooth with a little water. It hurt a lot, but once the dentist applied the anesthetic and started working with the drill, the frightened cat felt almost none of it. Then the frightened cat got up from the big chair and felt for a moment with a paw to her mouth. Indeed, she didn't feel any of the results of the treatment! "Very well done, girl!" said the dentist with satisfaction. "Here" And he handed Nuanisha a silver coin, which she then put into the toy machine. The metal cover opened and a tiny sphere capsule came rolling out. Nuanisha deftly caught the capsule with both her front paws. She opened it, and inside the capsule she found a pin in the shape of a cat's head, with a little pink bow attached to it. With the tears still in her eyes, Nuanisha looked up to the dentist. ''T-Thank you, sir'' she stuttered. ''No probs, girl'' the dentist replied, ''now go see your mother. She's waiting for you in the lobby'' Nuanisha purred and turned around with the toy in her paws and ran through the room door, to show her new toy to her mother. She no longer wanted to sit in that big chair. She was too shocked by the spider. Even though this dentist was so nice, Nuanisha would not come back here for the time being!
