Continuing with Skunktember posts .... and finally the first appearance of Lila. (This is a WIP with rough colours filled in very quickly tonight - she also has balck and white feather markings, but i ran out of time to paint them.)

Back in '03 Lila happened. There were some other winged skunks around back then (and now), so not that original of an idea - but she arrived with a story of being oppressed, living in solitude, and afraid to fly, etc. i only did six or seven pics of her because around the same time my inter-connected furry stories were coming together into a "hard" science-fiction universe - and Lila didn't fit into that as there is no way she could fly (weight/gravity/etc) - she belonged to realm of fantasy.

Over time those became some of my favorite of my own pics ...

So we're off to the realm of fantasy for the last few days of Skunktember and Lila is finally free to fly.
