So,
SonicSweeti occasionally does 'blind egg adopts', where you get to look at a set of eggs with colour patterns on them, pick a species, and then wait to see what 'hatches' from the egg. And given this egg looked like it had a mountain painted on it (fields down at the bottom, darker stone with some vegetation, then lighter stone, then a bit of snow followed at the top by sky and clouds) I figured the obvious species to go for was a mountain lion. (A.k.a. cougar, puma, katamount, florida panther...)
The name of 'Fairweather' is because Mount Fairweather (or Fairweather Mountain, depending on which atlas you're using) is the tallest mountain in British Columbia, right on the B.C./Alaska border, so it seemed appropriate.
Now I just have to figure out a way to pose her in a picture so it looks like camouflage...
(And now I'm remembering the scene from The Muppet Movie where, after Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem had disguised Fozzie's Studebaker by painting it to look all psychedelic, Kermit and Fozzie 'hid' by parking right in front of a billboard advertising some soda pop using a bottle that was rising up like a rocket ship, and the patterns on the van matched perfectly with the 'exhaust' from the pop bottle on the billboard...)
There were still two eggs left when I wrote this at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38333501/.
