This picture was taken at the end of his turn two. In two turns the following happened:
My fleet arrives with perfect surprise (even the sub-plot was surprise attack, denying the ability to go on special orders for a turn). With him unable to react at all for the first turn the main element of my fleet wiped out the only ships that started active. Mostly due to a pair of catastrophic explosions (not the last of the game either).
He withdrawls the pair of cruisers he has left while his light cruiser squadron is sitting on thier arses confused as the space dock wrecks to a torpedo salvo.
Luckly the fire ship captains have some sense and balls as they turn as fast as they can.
Granted at this point the game is over for him.

My favorite GW game, not many play it, but one of my campaign players wanted to start so we started a mini-campaign. So far I have the system in lock down. I've lost a few, but I've won all the major battles.
Next campaign we are looking at having a few more players for Gothic. Plus I get to play my favorite fleet: Eldar
