Tarkara from 2001, the two of us perching on a sand dune and enjoying the sun. It's another one where I was briefly experimenting with trying to avoid outlines to try for a softer look. The location is heavily inspired by Empire Bluff at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore in northern Michigan.

I all of the yellow highlights on the dragons. I think you chose a beautiful array of colors. Though I think the softness you were going for would probably have gone over a little better if the pencil lines on the outer edge of those highlights had been erased. All around it's a wonderful and emotive picture though.
Yeah, I think you're right there. It was quite a few years ago now! And I was experimenting. I think the scanner might have made some things come out looking a bit odd too. Thanks though, really glad you like! :) I was hoping the highlights would really suggest the feeling of warm sun on their scales. ^^
