there’s some world stuff that i haven’t needed to mention yet included in this comic, i’ll write it out here

the smaller blue dragon is named Azul, he’s Venus’s sort of.. main servant? like he works for Venus (who isn’t royal in any way, so the word ‘advisor’ doesn’t work) among several other dragons his size, but he’s Venus’s favorite and also their friend. he and the several others work for Venus because they protect them with their fire, cave, and size (all things the others don’t have). Azul is mainly Venus’s favorite because he has the small gem in his chest that allows him to regenerate when killed in any way, allowing Venus to eat him as many times as they want. because of the gem, the small dragon is also the oldest of Venus’s servants.
the offerings come from a village a short way down the mountain from Venus’s cave. they give offerings to appease the dragon and keep them from eating them all. every time a daily offering is missed, Venus not only goes down to take an offering, but also eats Azul (not just for hunger reasons, but also for fun).
