Made this reference for my dreadfully dear dragon Evolith back on April 8th of this year. I still don't think it's a finished piece, but it serves its purpose as a flat color reference for the character. When the chances are there, I'll use it to practice shading bit by bit and see where it goes. I'm sure the scutes will look more pronounced with a decent shine blend effect.

Will most likely redo the background as well for the sake of practice. It was fun trying out some cartoon clouds and trees, messing around with fog, and the shape of the shore, but the mountains were a real headache (they still are). Still, lessons learned.
