Narnia is overrated. His Dark Materials, on the other hand, are underated. Which is bad.

I'm not really defending Lewis here, but Gaw's reading the Narnia series for the first time (Gaw's wisely sticking to publication order, like with the Star Wars movies), and actually enjoying it.
I can see why Susan ultimately stops going to Narnia. It's implied as early as Prince Caspian (Gaw read LWW a long time ago, but I remember it well enough) that Susan simply isn't the adventuresome type and is, like Barrie's Wendy, perfectly fine on Earth.
By the way, Gaw's going through Prince Caspian, and Gaw noticed that when Susan and Lucy are talking while the boys are skinning the bear (Gaw can't blame 'em for walking away while they do it, yuck yuck yuck, gaw), and Lucy says "Such a horrible idea has come into my head, Su." "What's that?" Susan replies, and Lucy continues "Wouldn't it be dreadful if some day in our own world, at home, men" (Gaw wants to point out that she meant humans) "started going wild inside, like the animals here, and still looked like men, so that you'd never know which were which?"
Any fan of zombies knows why I find that part interesting.
As a fan of His Dark Materials, I'm surprised to find that I'm actually enjoying this series!
