FA-Showman's question for the Nightopian
Yep, it had to happen one day!..So let me be the first one to do so
Note that Balan (Balan Wonderworld) was created by Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Naka (Both, one or the two, whatever..), the same creators as NiGHTS from NiGHTS Into Dreams, hence this wonderful crossover (Even though it could've been drawn better for NiGHTS and a bit for Balan too)
We all know that NiGHTS is Genderless (We don't know if it's a guy or a girl) but Balan had to ask the question because "It could be anything!"

Personally, I think it makes more sense for NiGHTS to be Genderless, though I'm not entirely sure what the official/canon lore is.

Sorry if I gave the impression of ranting, (I'm not ranting, this is not meant to be a rant), the title just suggested that you weren't aware or even forgot about that detail.
I is a somewhat easy thing to forget though, even I, A nerd who always keeps NiGHTS' gender (or lack thereof) and lineage/race in mind didn't consider the implications of it.
Not going into a Ted talk for your sake, but just how much of NiGHTS' actions are an active choice of selflessness overall is a question I've been left to really consider after DiGi Valentine brought it up in his series "WHO DAT?". I recommend it if you're interested in a big analysis of videogame characters.
He even did videos on the Sega Hard Girls. (hardware, nothing sexual.)
