Sensationally satisfying salmon from the kitchens of dutchy dutchy
******************************
You need a frying pan with a lid, the salmon steak, onions, garlic, possibly some spring onion or leek if you like, sundried tomatoes, olive oil, and some spices you find to go well with fish, such as curry powder to add a tad of spice.
Please forgive me if I write it in the wrong order, but that's just me, being a bit awkward when it comes to cooking.
You dice the onion, but not too fine, and make sure you have enough to cover the entire bottom of the frying pan, and then some. You cut the leek/spring onion, but not small, as they'll shrink.
Depending on the size of the salmon steak, you cut a few cuts into it, to about half of the thickness of the steak.
Chop up the sundried tomatoes and garlic rather small, and mix them up, and stuff it into the cuts.
Pour some olive oil over the salmon steak, and then pour your spices over it, and rub it into it, on all sides (do be careful, as the cuts are in already...you don't want it to break in half).
Pour olive oil in the pan, and heat it up, then put all the onions in the pan, and gently place the salmon in the middle. Toss the leeks or spring onions in there too.
Put the lid on the pan, and have it on a medium flame. If you see the onions are gonna go black, add a bit of water to the pan.
It should take about 15 minutes before it's done when it's in the pan.
Enjoy ^^
