Jesus I'm not dead but man do I feel like it
my entire state is on fire and the cornavirus is still a thing and who the hell knows what else is gonna happen but I'm sTILL KICKIN
SO here's the second page to Ri'dasha's journal! enjoy!
☽─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────☾We've made it through! I suppose those papers ahnurr acquired worked their magic, the Imperials on the border scarcely gave us so much as a second glance, but they cautioned us of the danger of venturing into a war zone. Merrunz' whiskers, I'm much more worried about freezing to death up here! How can an entire people live like this? The wheels of the wagon can barely get through some of the looser snow.
As inhospitable as it may be, the land it absolutely breathtaking. Never have I seen such an utterly... "vertical" place. Even the canyons of Anequina are put to shame by these mountains. Who knew the other side of the Jerrals were so treacherous? Ahnurr keeps wryly poking fun at my "childish wonder", his words not mine. As if he's not enjoying this as much as I am!
And the sky, Rajhin kodesh! When the sun began to set we saw bands of color stretch across the stars! Ahnurr said the Nords call them "Kyne's lights". He thought they might be the souls of ancient Nordic souls being taken gods know where. I'd rather not dwell on what they could be, but they were stunning. It's a view that I'll remember to the end of my days.
Tomorrow, ahnurr says we make for the "Rift", an apparently colorful place, in "perpetual autumn" as he puts it. We'll head for the city of Riften, and make the sale there. A Nordic city, how exciting! Ahnurr's promised to stay a few nights there, so I can get a true look at all of it.
