Undyne and Alphys - Happy 5th UT
A quick little something of Undyne and Alphys for the 5th Anniversary of Undertale. I have another UT pic in the works, but that one won't be done in time~

They're BOTH so relatable (especially Alphers)! Alphys's inner turmoil really struck a chord with, like, ALL OF US, I think. I've often gotten the impression that she's basically Toby's caricature of "us." You know - nerds, geeks, weebs, introverts, anyone who's ever struggled with anxiety, backseat gamers, and whatnot. Also, Tobes really seems to dig that "sweet 'n' spicy" personality dynamic. But who doesn't? There's sooo much truth to it! You don't have to be a Taoist to understand that a yin-yang balance produces harmony in relationships. That's why Alphyne's relationship has a better chance of lasting than Royal Guards 01 and 02 (who I call "The Roys") since they both have yang-centered personalities. This principle is universal (orientation notwithstanding).
Also, Alphys is basically half the Big Bang characters combined. She's like Leonard, Sheldon, and Amy all rolled into one, and with Howard's mechatronic skill set to top it off. There's also some potential for a "Rocko's Modern Life meets 'The Sandlot'" scenario starring Alphys and Papyrus since they're kinda like Scotty Smalls and Benny Rodriguez from 'The Sandlot', but in a carto0n sitcom world. Technically, Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez is kinda like Undyne and Papyrus combined, but Scotty is definitely the Alphys of that story. Alphys also has a lot in common with Ickis from 'Aaahh! Real Monsters!' (which takes place in a garbage dump).
Anyway, if you like that "sweet 'n' spicy" personality dynamic, then I feel compelled to recommend an '80s action-comedy movie called 'Feds'. Janis is the Alphys and Ellie is the Undyne. They end up as BFFs, not the OTP, but sometimes that fits better.
