I started this drawing in an inspirational fit of artistic possession around three in the morning last night. I dont know if its good or bad, but I finished this around six thirty in the morning. The sun was already coming up.

I used a few references for the deer, just googled pictures of leaping deer. Not sure exactly which species, just a combination of a few. The environment was the beginning I did and its from a river bank my friend and I explore every week. This is squirrel grotto and we're jumping over termite falls. :D

The young stag is my friend Nick and the young doe is me. I always feel like we're some sort of deer when we jump over things in tandom. I feel like the expressions came out almost perfect. Nick's eager, excited young passion and my joy and laughter, my calm happiness at running through the woods and the sight of his eagerness.

This is will go in scraps eventually.
