I just needed to draw this tonight. If you’ve seen the documentary film “Wont you be my neighbor?” It’s shown that the Daniel Striped Tiger puppet is, effectively Mister Rogers’ fursona.

(Don’t confuse it with “a beautiful day in the neighborhood”, the Tom Hanks movie, which isn’t nearly as good)

I remember reading a Time, (or newsweek i forget which) magazine special on Mr Rogers a few months ago at work. In the end, yeah...Daniel was his fursona. An expression of himself in the end.

A pity i didnt grow up on Mr Rogers too much if really at all.

It's such simple, beautiful, loving writing. I grew up with Mr. Rogers, and I think him and Bob Ross were my greatest escapes.

I rediscovered Mr.Rogers a few years ago when Twitch did their marathons. His music hits me deep and made me realize adults have child-like fears as well.

I learned a lot from mister rogers and not all of it was when i watched him as a small child
