Here's my team for Shawntae Howard's "Poké-Combat Academy of Higher Learning" idea (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/75984/); Team Indigo!
Lead by Storm the Jolteon, Blaze the Ninetales, Neon the Dragonair, and Stiletto the Sandslash, Indigo specializes in brushfire tactics that overwhelm their opponents from the word 'go.' Known for their speed and ruthless efficiency, they trained primarily to strike first and never let up. Those that can withstand their initial onslaught will have a good chance of lasting in the fight, but don't let your guard down (Neon and Stiletto know how to handle stragglers, heh).
Storm is the organizer of Team Indigo, known for his great charisma and leadership skills. He is extremely quick and agile, and along with his repertoire of electric attacks, he also packs a mean Double-Kick that can leave foes flat on their back if they aren't prepared for it (which is also his main tactic against Ground types that are immune to his lightning). He's also in the process of learning the Hyper Beam, but as of yet has not mastered it to the point of reliably using it in a battle.
Blaze enrolled in the academy with hopes of using what she learns in a future career as a cop (yes, she has an "Aunt Jenny" :p ). She and Storm had been friends for years, even before either of them evolved, and it was through that friendship with led to their initial plans on forming a team of their own. In battle she is a calm, calculating fighter that, despite Indigo's "pure offensive" style, tends to take her time to read her opponent. Her quick reflexes help her evade most attacks as she sets her opponent up for her attacks, and she is also very proficient in using the Confuse Ray.
Neon is the wildcard of Team Indigo, using her type's natural defences as she presses on with her preferences of water and ice-based attacks (but watch out for her Body Slam, too!). In battle she is a good sport and always optimistic (some consider her wise), and helps keep morale up within the team. She also happens to be one of the top performers on the Academy's surfing team.
Stiletto acts just like she looks - the "bad girl" of the group. In battle she is extremely ferocious and not afraid to take on even the mightiest of contenders. She can hold her own quite well and for fighters that try to counter the offensive-only attacks of the team, she acts as a backup to turn the tables back around and keep the onslaught going. Though she's slower than her teammates, she's a lot tougher and can last longer than most. It's more than just an appearance, though... she grew up in a tragically abusive home, the only child of a father that beat her and a mother that verbally abused her. By an eerie, twisted event of evolution it actually caused her to evolve at a far younger age than what most of her kind are used to, and by the time she was put into a foster home the damage was done (the X-shaped scar on her face reminds her of it every day). She was taken to the academy in hope that she would learn to channel her aggresiveness in more controlled environments. It didn't work at first, until she ended up in a humiliating defeat at the hands of Neon. In a gesture of pity, the Dragonair introduced her to Storm, who later invited her to be the forth member of Indigo. And now, a year later, Stiletto has found herself in the company of three friends who she can trust and relate to. She is extremely loyal to the team and despite her bad attitude, she would gladly do anything to help them.
Welp.... yeah, that's Team Indigo :p

This is VERY cool! I just picked up Pokemon Ruby so I should be doing some pics of my own group (though I suck at the game) I like how you favor speed over everything else but if you face a team with a good defense 'wall' and a tank you might have a problem. Oh and LOVE the design on the dragonette er the water snake like one, blarg
You did a better job on yours but heres my team (Team Genesis)

It's funny you mention that, actually. A while back when I first created her I had a story where she survived a fight and started evolving, but lacked the strength to stop herself from completing the evolution and ended up with the Dragonair appearance and upper-body but with slender legs and dragon wings. Probably won't do that to her in the Academy stories but that's about as close as she's came :p
