pongo, drowsy and stuffed full, gazed out the window and watched the other dogs walk down the street with a twinge of jealousy.
it had been a while since he could make it as far as the next block over with his oversized gut hanging down, jiggling and bouncing with each labored step. honestly pongo believed he could go farther but the stares from both dogs and people alike made him insecure; he resented feeling massive in public.
fortunately for him, the abundance of treats and delicious foods stocked up in his home was always enough to cheer him up. other dogs always had to constantly beg for scraps but he never had to, reminding himself.
yawning, pongo settled down on his round squishy belly for a nap. laying on such a large stomach felt similar to resting on a giant jelly-filled beanbag.
what could be more comfortable than that? surely those other dogs don’t have that luxury.
