Among the Mist is a story based on a RP. Which follows the life of two teens, one is from another world, one whom ran away and decided to live with the family at a young age, and the other is a biological son. Both to a not so nice father who with the mother, gets them off to a school behind their backs to help deal with their "inncontience problem". The two teens, learn more about each other and their pasts and deal with the unknown, until eventully, someone comes to take away the two teens and bring them to another world against their wills...

Chapter 1: Time for a change
It was a normal day in the anthro world. The sun was low in the sky and would set in just a few hours. On a nature trail were two dragons, who were both holding textbooks of various sizes and colours.
“Hey Elusive, how much homework did your teacher give you?” The white one said curiously. “Not that much actually. She decided to be lenient this week in homework, and it’s the weekend so that could be part of it” Elusive responded.
The white dragon took that into consideration, tugging at a paper-like substance peeking out from the top of his waistband. The purple one caught notice of this, seeing some of the white one’s skin turn reddish-pink. “Lotik, stop messing with your diaper. If you have a rash just say something and I’ll change you”
“But it’s so itchy and uncomfortable. How are you able to put up with this rash so well and I’m not?”
“Because I use powder and cream, dude,” He said smugly. He then reached into his bag, bringing out some baby powder. “If you don’t want a change, at least let me put some powder in your diaper so it doesn’t get worse, alright?”
“Fine, but only where we aren’t in the open,” Lotik said anxiously. “Hey, I thought it was my job to be the anxiety induced one!” Elusive remarked, chuckling a bit afterwards to lighten the mood.
Lotik laughed, feeling safer about his incontinence when he was around someone with the same issue. “So dude, is your dad still not okay with us being in diapers?” He asked, not knowing. “Dude, you’ve been living with us ever since we were toddlers. Shouldn’t you know?”
Lotik has been living with Elusive and his family for over a decade. He had run away from his original family for reasons he doesn’t like to mention, possibly an abusive relationship with his family. He was alone and scared when elusive’s mom found him crying on the very nature trail they were walking down twelve years ago. “Well, he’s not around when I’m awake. You know I’m not able to stay awake past nine-thirty, ya big doofus” Lotik playfully bumped Elusive, then allowing me to pour the baby powder into his diaper.
“Well, he hasn’t said anything about it in a while, so that’s good I think” They were almost down the nature trail. “So are you excited for the weekend, Lotik?” He asked. “Heck yeah dude! No school for two whole days, which means nobody teasing us about something we can’t control” Lotik responded. “You get me so well, you little goofball” He ruffled the white dragon’s mane, very easily doing so as to lotik’s small size.
“Hey, since it’s the weekend, wanna go get some food? I hear there’s a new McDonalds just down the street” The little dragon said. “Sure! Plus it’ll be a good place to get a change” Elusive responded.
Suddenly, Elusive’s phone made a ping, alerting him to it. “What’s this?” He said to himself. “Dad says we have to go home”
“What? But I’m tired and I need some food”
“He says it’s urgent and we have to go now”
“Ugh, fine. But you’re carrying me there”
“That's fair” I then picked up Lotik, hoisting him up to his shoulder. “Comfortable?” I asked. “Yep! Is it okay if I fall asleep while you carry me home?”
“Sure, just try not to doze off too much, or you’ll miss dinner”
“Alright,” Lotik says. We were out all day, our talons were getting a bit sore, as well as Lotik not sleeping the best the previous night. Lotik yawned.
"Besides it won't be long, ten minutes tops!" I say beginning to speed-walk home. I was sore but I kept dad's message in mind. I definitely don't want to ignore him.
It was almost fifteen minutes before They started to show up in the neighbourhood that they lived in. I kept going about to collapse from exhaustion "Lotik wake up, we are almost home!"
“Wuh?” He had woken up abruptly, not noticing the tugging feeling on his waist from his now soggy diaper. “C’mon sleepyhead, you’re gonna mess up your sleep schedule if you go to sleep now. Besides, dad has an important speech that requires us to drop everything we are doing. You Know this won't go well"
“Well, why should we care anyway? He’s probably just gonna scold us for needing diapers again” He said sleepily. I sort of felt bad for him, as he knew that the reason I was back in diapers was because of him. Not in a bad way, but I felt as if it was easier to just go whenever.
“I’m sure it’s something different. He said it was urgent, so maybe it’s something else” Elusive said, trying to make him feel better. “Well, okay…” He said, half-asleep. They walked into the house and see their father, Greg, standing in our way, looking less concerned than usual.
"Lotik, Elusive, me and your mom have some news for you two," he says slowly. “What is it? And why are you saying it like it’s a bad thing?” Lotik Asked.
"I have kept in mind your guys' problems, and so I and your mom have found something to help rid of the problem, and to help your guys later, its a school that deals with kids and their oddities, or not so common problems, like the ones that you two have" he, says with a smile. "Oh, yeah, you start on Monday by the way. I talked to your principal and the new school's principal too so that you two will be with the same people with the same interests as yourselves. No need to thank me" he says with a bigger grin.
"But, I didn't agree with this, and I didn't have a clue this was a thing! Are you sure we have to? also that was rude as hell! not being potty trained isn’t some hobby" Elusive said a bit angered.
"Hobby, disability, whatever. it's kids like you, with the similar diaper baby problem thing!" He says smugly.
"I'm like 17 years old! I’m not a baby, and you should stop treating this like I choose to live this way" He said crossing his arms "I don't appreciate it"
Elusive’s mom came into the room suddenly. “Sorry sweetie, but we need to make sure that you’re able to deal with this,” she said concerned.
“But I thought you were okay with us being incontinent” Elusive said a bit disappointed. “I’m sorry guys, But I can’t keep diapering you forever”
“But mom, I-“
“That’s enough, elusive” His dad yelled. “Now go pack your things, you leave tomorrow” He then pointed down the hall, signalling us to go.
“I-... yes dad…” Elusive said, feeling defeated by his father yet again. They both walked down the hall to their shared room, which was brightly coloured. There were cartoonishly illustrated stars and clouds on the ceiling, and the walls had clouds on them as well. There was a window with a changing table under it, which had cabinets filled with all sorts of diapers ranging from cloth to nightwear.
“Don’t worry, Elusive! I’m sure we’ll be fine!” Lotik said, sitting on his bed which has a common space theme all over it. His diaper made a loud squish, alerting lotik to it. He pulled down his pants a bit and saw that he was on the verge of leaking. “Ah, crap. Hey dude, I’m gonna go ask your mom if she can change me” Lotik said to Elusive. “No problem Lotik! Ask her if she can change me too”
“Alright,” He said, taking off his pants completely. He then walked back down the hall, asking Elusive’s mom to see if they could change them.
“Um, Mrs. star?” Lotik came into the kitchen, where their mom was making dinner. “Oh? Hey honey, what is it?” She asked.
“well me and elusive kind of need a change,” He said a little embarrassed. He fiddled with his fingers behind his back, feeling anxious. “Oh, of course! I know you don’t like to stay in a cold diaper for very long”
“Okay. Thanks for understanding Mrs. Star”
“No problem sweetie. I’ll be there in a minute, just lemme finish up dinner first, okay?”
“Okay. I’ll be in the room with lusi”
“Alright. Try not to get too sleepy” She said. She then went back to making dinner. We were having macaroni as well as some chicken. Lotik then walked back to the room, but not before looking at Elusive’s dad in the living room. He was staring at lotik, shaking his head. Lotik felt chills before turning away and walking back to the room, not telling Elusive.
“Hey, she said she would after she’s done making dinner,” lotik said, sitting back on his space bed. “Great! That means we’ll have plenty of room for when we sleep, haha!” He answered. He looked at the little white dragon, who didn’t respond at all to elusive’s joke, which concerned him. “Lotik, what’s wrong?” He asked.
“I-it’s nothing”
“You’re stammering, it isn’t nothing. What’s, wrong dude?”
“Well, it’s just… your dad seems to hate me, for no reason too. I get that I might’ve wronged him somehow and I don’t remember, but I feel like he genuinely wants me out”
Elusive felt bad for lotik. He wasn’t treated very nicely when his dad was around, and he wasn’t entirely wrong about him being out of the picture. “Don’t worry lotik, I’m sure he’s just jealous of your awesome soaking skills”
Lotik gave a light giggle at elusive’s attempt at cheering him up. “Haha, shut up you dork” Lotik sat back on his bed, with a secondary loud squish. “I should really stop drinking so much coffee. It barely does anything except give me a soggier diaper at night” lotik remarked.
“Well I bet they won’t allow you to at that new school anyways” They sat in their beds for a bit, talking and chatting about the new school. They stayed in there for about 15 more minutes before dinner was ready.
“Guys, dinner!” Elusive’s mom said from the kitchen. We didn’t bother to put on any pants, figuring we’d be changed right after dinner. We went into the kitchen where there were three regular chairs, and one with a childish booster seat. Lotik sat in the booster seat, having elusive’s mom buckle him in which he was slightly embarrassed about, but it was nothing new.
“Alright, here you boys go” She then handed out the plates to them. “Alright, dig in you guys,” she said. They started eating, with a bit of silence. Dinner was relatively quiet for the duration of it. Elusive then finished his food and waited for lotik to finish so they could both get a chance.
“So… mom, what did you say this school did again?” Elusive asked, trying to breakfast the silence. “Oh, well they’re supposed to prepare kids like you and lotik to work through their disabilities on their own”
“So how long are we staying?” Lotik asked.
“About 4 months, give or take your progress. And don’t be worried about being teased, there are more kids there with the same disability as you two”
“Really? Well, that’s a little better” Elusive responded. The two dragons then finished their food, before putting their dishes in the sink, with lotik needing to be carried in order to do so.” so, um, mom? Can we have our changes now?” Elusive asked. “Of course! Just go sit on your beds and I’ll get your bedtime diapers for you” she answered
“Alright, thanks, mom. C’mon lotik” He then walked off with lotik following behind. They then went into their room and sat on their bed yet again, with lotik feeling a bit drowsy. “Hey, lotik?” Elusive asked.
“Yeah?”
“What do you think will happen at this school?”
“I dunno. We’ll just have to wait and see”
“I know, but I can’t help but feel like this won’t be fun for us…”
“Well as long as we’re both there, we got this, right?”
“Heh, yeah, I guess your right”
Elusive’s mom came in, carrying some baby powder, baby wipes, and three nightwear diapers, two being for elusive due to his anxiety. “Alright, you guys, who want to go first?” She asked. “Lotik should have his change first. He should get some sleep” lotik blushed a little at Elusive’s offer, and took it. “Thanks, Elusive” he said.
“Alright, lay down so I can change you bud” Lotik did what he was told, and was untaped, wipes down, powdered, and snugly retaped before being tucked in. “Goodnight little buddy” she said to Lotik, who was too tired to respond.
“Alright Elusive, lay down” He did what she told him as well, not wanting to displease her. He was then properly changed the same as lotik, with an extra poofy layer of padding, which was purposely more babyish to Elusive’s secret desire. He blushed a bit, but then smiled and hugged his mom. “Thanks mom!”
“Anytime Elusive, now get a goodnight sleep, okay? Your guide will be here to pick you up in the morning” She responded. She was a good mom to elusive, and a good mother figure to Lotik. “Alright, I will mom”
“Alright, but just one more thing. Try and keep you and lotik safe, and try to have fun, okay?”
“Of course! Lotik and I will make the best out of this trip”
“Good. Now goodnight bud”
“Night mom!”
She then turned a nightlight one on lotik’s side of the room, which he says he doesn’t need but enjoys it’s gentle glow, and then left the room and shut the door quietly. Elusive laid back In his bed as he covered himself up. He looked at the far corner of the bedroom to see a few suitcases already packed with their essentials including extra diapers and clothes.
Elusive the looked up at the ceiling, seeing the cartoonish stars glowing a faded teal-green. He wondered to himself what the school would be like. Would he make friends his age with the same disability? Would he and lotik stay together?
He looked over at the white and orange dragon, who had already passed out on his pillow. Elusive smiled, seeing how blissfully unaware Lotik looked, wishing he could be the same. He looked back up at the ceiling and his thoughts started to drift, as his eyes got heavier and heavier. As his diaper made light his he eventually drifted off to sleep wondering what would this new school bring.
