Nice blend of the Archie Splinter and the 80s/90s cartoon aesthetic

Thank you. I love this version, it was the first time then I don't boring that character... and I loved him... because he was a responsible father, like a real father, and he went to his sons... not just watch the TV....

Also, I don't think any canon made Splinter look younger than the Archie comics, LOL. In most others, he seemed elderly. Splinter was Hamato Yoshi in the Archie comics only because they were based off 80s/90s cartoon canon originally. In original Mirage canon as well as most other canons, he was Yoshi's pet rat, and Yoshi had been murdered by the Shredder.

Actually, I read the original, and I really don't like that. I like the Hamato is Splinter idea. Its much better, and yes, he's so young. That's the other thing: I love this version. Its just 15 years, and his sons are teenagers... why is he looks like an old fart -like the fothermucking rise of the bullshit... and the others -? (and I think the creators are like this version too, and that's why looks like same in the 2012's Turties.)

The original backstory of Hamato Yoshi is certainly the deepest, but whenever you have the origin that Splinter was Yoshi's pet rat, you get grittier turtles

1 plus side of the 2000s series going by the original origin, though, was that it was the ghost of Hamato Yoshi who finally did the Shredder in for the finale
