I was given a bit of license to work with and I got a little carried away with the detail. I had a lot of fun doing this piece and am quite pleased with it.
NOTE: I am going to be posting this piece for AUCTION this evening at 7:30pm US Central time, (Sept 12 2020). Starting bid will be $175 and have an Auto Buy of $230.

The claws in pillow thing was on the original line drawing by thetarget who named his version "Nightmare Sleep". He tried to make it appear that she was sleeping uncomfortably with nightmares but to me, she seemed so angelic. I used the original line work the best I could but was given permission to change the name. I kinda picture her dreaming about an epic battle and a glorious death followed by Valkyries carrying her to Valhalla.

Thank you for the nice comments. Having just the line drawing to work from and the theme, I first looked into historical recreations of Viking long houses and smaller dwellings. Super fascinating! Her current abode must be a private dwelling as a bed the size that she has at her disposal is incredibly huge compared to what they had in the long houses.
The tapestry has elements from various periods of original viking tapestries I looked up but is plain compared to originals. The sword and shield are pretty much of common design for vikings though the sword is a bit overdecorated I would think.
