i think it refers to a person in this situation, someone who wants to help when someone else is suffering, a sort of 'i got to help them' mentality that becomes detrimental when theyre unable to.

It's not like a Martyr complex, in that Martyr complex folk actively look for a reason to be a martyr.

A fixer is someone that likes to, quite literally, fix things. This can be anything from mechanical to psychological. So that person that doesn't want to throw away a mug because they can glue that handle back together? Fixer. A person who sees someone suffering and does what they can do to change that? Fixer.

The problem begins when the fixes don't work (the mug falls apart soon after, the mood of the person doesn't improve or even worsens), which causes frustration in the fixer... then potentially sadness and depression. Fixing is what they DO. Why can't they fix THIS!?

Soon, they can feel helpless. Even less of a person.

They don't necessarily look for these things to fix actively. They just appear in front of them, and their brains start to churn over the possibilities on how to make things better once more.

*cough* not that I'm speaking from experience. No sir-e-bob.

What really strikes me is how invested the little Kwoos are in both of them. How they're trying to be comforting and seem to care a lot about their feelings. It's very sweet.

Yeah the little fluffballs don't like negative vibes. x'D And they've never seen Towa this sad, it's unnerving to them.

I'd cuddle the heck out of those worried kwoos... and them as well. I mean, once I got over being all stoic and grfy for awhile...
