I've wanted to do something of Reepicheep for a while, but I didn't just want to draw him in a generic swashbuckling pose - I wanted to get at more of his personality.
So I thought I'd draw him posing for his portrait. And have Lucy be the one drawing it - she is the character who might have an interest in drawing. She's probably laughing to herself at Reep's chest-out vanity.
I even suspect Lucy may have a bit of a schoolgirl crush on him - Lewis mentions she's always tempted to cuddle him, but doesn't want to hurt his heroic dignity.
