Greetings everyone, so this wonderful art was made by
Seyumei, with the aid of some references commissioned by another very talented artist.
As always
Seyumei did a fantastic job, this piece is set in the same room as a previous picture with Juno/Cassandra, its just a slightly different angle with better lighting. Draggincat did a fantastic job on the reactions and getting the "look" of the characters down, though the reference artist helped a ton too, and has been getting more accustomed to the look of my characters (eventually I might have to start commissioning the ref artist for some stand-alone concept art pieces).
The main artist of course came up with the original look/design of these characters
BodyxCount and has been helping me finish the last few characters that don't have visuals yet.
This concept art depicts a scene in the mid scene of the script, where Juno has just finished an infiltration mission and had to hide in Cassandra's apartment before the Garrison search patrols closed in; as they were conducting door to door searches looking for a suspicious Volterran (Juno, but they didn't know it was her specifically), the guard questions why Juno claims to be staying in an apartment with one other person and only one bed. Quickly improvising, Juno pretends that the reason she's staying in an apartment with another person and only one bed is because they are romantically involved, something that's very awkward for Cassandra who's barely able to play along. The guard though, convinced he's committed a social faux pas, stammers out an apology and quickly leaves, securing Juno's alibi.
This picture also shows Juno's "cover job" outfit, what she's dressed in when she's not performing "Fieldwork". Her cover employment is an "Internal Security Consultant" with the Volterran conglomerate Interglobal, which basically means she does consulting with Interglobal's security staff and performs inspections to check for security vulnerabilities and recommends improvements. Juno really hates her cover job, despite being quite good at it; and is often very antisocial while in public, usually seen reading by herself whenever she's not performing an inspection or giving a presentation.
Anyway, please let me know what you guys think of the image; and what do you think of the improvisation by Juno here and the awkward situation it causes with Cassandra and the guard. Also be sure to let me know any possible areas of improvement or what could be used from this image to improve concept arts in the future.
Thanks everyone! I hope you enjoy this picture!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Yeah Cassandra is kinda the semi-reluctant participant; while Juno is typically the one who pushes the boundaries of what she can get away with around Cassandra to see how she'll react. It should be fun, though in the future I'll probably have to start focusing more on Juno doing her job solo to establish her "fieldwork" role.
