Out of the two i prefer this one, the rays of sun are more realistic with the lighting direction.

The rays of sun are the same on both... :P

Only difference is one has black lines and the other has colored lines.

I really like both of them, but I'd have to go with this one. The lines are easier to see and follow and Opal just has a stronger presence in this picture. (To me anyway) The coloring is excellent on both, but I perfer to see the line work clearly in anybodies art. This also helps me to learn the flow of lines and apply new techniques to my art as well.

Normally your lineless works are much better than the lined (or black-lined) ones. However something here is certainly different. Yes the other version is certainly more appealing. But this one stands out quite a bit. Something about this seems much better than other blacklined picture. I'm not sure how to put it to be honest :s
If I take a guess, maybe the way the sun is shining from behind her, it's helping the black lines act almost as deffinition to stand out. It is very interesting.
