Why she was just reading a book by candlelight when she heard a sudden commotion that had nothing at all to do with her. How terrible it is that a murder of all things could happen under the same roof as her.

I know. Fancy the candlestick falling off the bookshelf managing to impact the victim in just the right place to cause severe trauma. Repeatedly. In multiple locations. In her presence.
