What can I say I'm a big nerd. Love science and space as always been a big interest of mine. Just look up at a clear night sky. So many stars. So many that even if you started counting at birth and counted one per second and continued to do so for the rest of your life you'd never finish. I think the universe is a beautiful thing as it is. I'm not a very religious guy. But I guess the feeling I get from thinking about my place in this wide universe is probably similar to those that do have devout faith. Can't say I know for sure as religion never really moved me to this degree. There's a quote from Degrass Tyson. "The very atoms that make up our bodies are traceable to the crucible of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the cosmos...So we're all connected. To each other, Biologically. To the Earth, Chemically. And to the Rest of the universe Atomically. We're not better then the universe. We're part of it. We're in the universe and the universe is in us." And there's a very wonderful thing to realize. In a way none of us are small. We're huge! We're all part of the universe. Part of of something so vast and complex we can't fully grasp it at the moment and may never. But it's still our duty to soldier on. To try and understand. To use two quotes from the late great Carl Sagan. "We're made of star stuff." and "We are a way for the Cosmos to know itself."

Anyway it's with all this in mind that I got the idea for this picture. I figured. why not blend together two of the things I love so? Cute and thoughtful and smart can go together quite well sometimes. ^^
