The Metigal Invasion (2010-2023) was a 13 year long conflict which forced to see if the MDF's doctrine could hold up to the reality of Modern Interplanetary War. The war saw the first time deployment into true combat of many pieces of equipment such as the MBT-95, KN-220, and Jutland Class Battlecarrier, Started by a then unknown enemy invading the key strategic ally of Metigal the MDF sent an Invasion force to destroy the enemy and secure the planet. The initial force consisted of 10 Infantry Divisions, 5 Armored Divisions, and 5 Mechanized Infantry Divisions of the MDF completed by an extra 30 Divisions from across the other forces of the CDF for the ground force.

The initial force consisted of multiple Type 200 Class Naval Cosmic Transports carrying the battleships Karl Dönitz (BBTN-02), Gillard Fo'Pat (BBTN-05), Mik Jo'Rem (BBTN-04), William Fredrick Halsey Jr (BBTN-16), William Hargood (BBTN-09), and Jacques de Clerk (BBTN-13) along with carriers Ho'Nok (CVFN-01), Xi'Hi'Kin (CVFN-17), and Akagi (CVFN-20) along with escort and support ships. As the MADA pulled away to get more forces the enemy reappeared and launched a massive attack of the MDN Fleet with over 400 Craft from orbit which was unguarded by the MADA which was escorting the Transports back, causing heavy damage but the Damage Control Training, Advanced Defense Systems of the MDN Ships, and pure Will of the Sailors saved all the capital ships but the attack had left them heavily damaged and smaller ships such as Destroyers and Frigates had been sunk.

By the time a second attack was going to be launched the MADA returned with the Transports and bolstering units and the MADA engaged the enemy fleet in orbit where the new Jutland Class Battlecarrier proved an extremely valuable asset being able to engage targets in multiple directions of fire simultaneously and cover friendly forces with Air Cover with the also new KN-220 Din'Hau which was able to compete with all aircraft thrown at it and be able to effectively engage and destroy them. Preparing for the amphibious assault to gain a foot hold of actual ground the KN-570, a delta wing ground attacker based off of the KN-220 showed its worth being able to drop munitons on target at high speeds and altitudes along with providing Close Air Support to units on the ground and even able to dogfight and protect itself when needed.

Hitting the beaches with the foot soldiers the Me'Zil'Kow MBT-95 (the successor to the MBT-82) provided much needed Anti-Tank and Anti-Hardpoint capability destroying bunkers and blockhouses with ease and giving the Infantry a large shield to take cover behind. Its advanced armor which was derived from the armor used by the MADA for their ships, showed that even when downsized to fit vehicles it was more than enough to provide sufficient protection on the front and turret sides. The other 95 series vehicles also proved their worth with AAV-95s and ISV-95s giving high rate supporting fire to ground units for both soft target and Anti-Air work and the HMC-95 gave fast, intense, heavy battery fire on dug in targets.

The Metigal Invasion was the largest joint military operation between the governments of the CDF with nearly all planets contributing to the war. After 13 years of combat the war was offically announced over when the last of the large scale units surrendered in February 2023 to the 13th Infantry Division of the MDA, The Metigal War also showed that control of a planet's local space is vital to interplanetary warfare and can provide a staging area for landing forces and a platform to launch strikes such as orbital bombardment and air strikes.
