Commission for Sagemane, with Tenebris the raccoon dog.
It's my first time drawing about climbing mountain, the photo he gave me is a little dim so I picked the color myself.
Hope it looks like they are on the top of the mountain in a early morning.

Hi, hi! I'm the tanuki depicted in this piece and just wanted to express my greatest admiration for the artist, JC, and his work.
I am totally amazed at how you managed to capture the background from the somewhat fuzzy picture my mate took on his Treo 650 (it was so cold--the High Sierras in late November, over Thanksgiving weekend--we had to warm up the device for several minutes to even get it to work!). It's quite realistic and amazingly close to the actual site (just after sunset on the summit of Lambert Dome, in Yosemite National Park).
Thanks for creating this wonderful piece which I received as a Valentine's present a few days ago, and now sits framed in my living room. Now I don't have to carry the memories just in my head...
And, of course, thanks to my wonderful, loving mate for everything! Sweetie, for you, I'll climb any mountain, anytime. You make every second worth living for...
