To reiterate the description of the scrap metal planetoid:
Basically a junkyard floating in space, the Planetoid is a massive ball of wreckage and scrap a thousand miles across, orbiting a dim but harsh green star. It is cold, and has low gravity and a thin, toxic atmosphere made mostly of industrial pollutants. Derelict spaceships and large meteors impact the twisted metal ground almost every day, bringing with them new materials and substances that are sought by the inhabitants.
Giant living-scrap beasts known as "metal gods" stalk the surface, hunting and fighting each other, digging in the scrapscape, and eating the hydrocarbons and heavy radioactives and water ice brought down by the meteors [...] players take part as survivors, cultists, scavengers, scrappers, cave farmers, and other assorted roles in large underground bases, with their own power systems and water and air recycling. Some of these systems are built from scraps, some are taken whole from crashed ships and destroyed mechs and incorporated into the warren-like maze of tunnels and chambers.
In this picture, an abandoned spaceship is about to crash-land on the planet, bringing with it a decent chunk of valuable scrap. The two lesser metal gods on the right have clearly taken notice of the incoming bounty... but it's just as likely that some of the heavily armored survivors have taken notice as well. The question remains -- who will gather and make use of the valuables first?
