I know there aren't many people who share my interests. But this is important to me. My job shut down in March, and won't reopen until at least January. My only source of income over the last 5 and a half months has been unemployment. I know I'm one of the lucky ones. I don't have as many financial obligations as others might. If nothing changes, I should be ok. But if I can't go back to work as currently planned, and if unemployment benefits aren't extended, then I'll be in trouble like a lot of others are now. If you enjoy going to concerts, stage plays and musicals, attending conventions, music festivals.... This affects you, too. Live events will be the last to resume operations after the pandemic. We want to go back to work. But we can't, until it's safe to do so. We need help. We need our elected officials to step up and support legislation specific to the live entertainment industry.
