So there's this horror movie called "Antichrist" directed by everybody's favorite bundle of joy Lars von Trier, and there's a notable scene with a talking fox, which has gotten remixed and mashed up to hell and back (or should I say from hell, back to hell and then back again) on YouTube.

Based upon Ether showing me this pic, i went ahead and watched Antichrist last night. I was incredibly impressed by Dogville, and the promise of self-eating foxies was too much to deny. I ended up enjoying the film quite a bit. Well, appreciating it. you don't 'enjoy' a film like this. But I liked how fucking fearless it was. I liked that it forced me to feel such intense emotions. I think movies should be a little dangerous every now and then.
The fox scene did startle me, but a larger part of me was too impressed by the seamless CGI to care.
Also, i looked at rottentomatoes.com and was disgusted by a lot of the reviews. Plenty of critics hated the movie for being shocking (A horror movie doing what horror movies are supposed to do!? Unheard of!) and even more hated it because they didn't know what it meant. Newsflash: if you didn't understand a movie, maybe it's not the director's fault. Pompous anuses. Even if I didn't understand every last part of the movie, I'd never claim that that's proof that the movie can't possibly have any real meaning. Some movies are difficult on purpose to make you sit and think about them afterwards.
